Hi, I'm Rae

When I introduce myself, people often say: "Your name is Rae? As in Rae - of - light?".
I wonder how much that has influenced me...

In the Theatre. On Camera. In the Classroom.
These are the spaces and places where I work.
Each of these spaces depends on light — not just to illuminate, but to reveal. The slow fade up as an audience leans in, a flicker in the eyes shaped into story through the lens, the quiet shift when a student recognizes themselves in the text — light reveals. It sharpens truth, exposes pathways, and makes space for transformation.
At the heart of my work is a desire to uncover something often missed, often funny, and inevitably beautiful about what it means to be human.
Hopefully, casting a Rae of Light in the process.
